This is my 6th year working in LTISD. After spending 5 years teaching technical theatre at LTHS, I switched gears and began pursuing a career in Special Education. I have since been working as an Sped aid at LPE, and in December I earned my special education certification. At the high school I was an active member of the Olweus Bully Prevention Team, and as I became more and more passionate about the cause of bully prevention I conducted extensive research of my own as well. I'm excited to help people recognize the VITAL importance of developing empathy, ESPECIALLY in our district. I also hope to help people feel like managing bullying is easier than they might have anticipated, and give out tips for getting more student "buy-in" for our bully prevention program.
