Ms. Patin began her career in Louisiana where she served as an elementary and Gifted and Talented program teacher for seven years. She then moved to the Richardson school district in Texas where she taught in the GT program and served as an assistant principal. Ms. Patin then served as an elementary assistant principal and principal followed by curriculum coordinator, Director of Curriculum, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, all at the Allen Independent School District in north Dallas. Additionally, Ms. Patin has served as Deputy Superintendent for both the Allen and McKinney school districts. For the past two years, she has served as Director of Professional Services for Amplify Education, an education technology company which provides digital curriculum, instructional tools, data analytics and assessment to the K-12 market. Ms. Patin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana and a Master of Arts degree in Gifted Education from Columbia University in New York. She has completed superintendent certification and is near completion on a Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas.
