In this session, I will show you a few easy steps to shift an activity you have done before into a Maker Space task that builds inquiry, confidence, self-reliance, engineering skills, and risk-taking. Maker Space is any activity that allows children to create and "make" something to solve a problem, couched between crucial conversations that drive understanding. It is a surprisingly simple way to amp up rigor and build success for ALL students. To show you how, we'll build marble runs slowed by friction together in the Maker Space way!
