This is not a session just for English teachers! We pledge to explain and show sentence starter template examples that can help students in social studies, science, and any subject in which you ask students to write and think. We have found this strategy to be an easy-to-roll-out and amazing tool that can help both high-level and struggling students think critically in ways they might not otherwise. We will also share how employing this strategy can serve as a scaffold to steer students away from repeated (and frustrating) errors that inhibit progress.
